101 Beginner
No experience necessary, no partner necessary! Your instructors will start from scratch, and you will be amazed at how fast you can pick this up. If you have experience with other types dance, this is still good place to start swing dancing. Dress comfortably, be prepared for a moderate workout, and have the time of your life!

202 Continuing
You are starting to think and breathe the basic steps and moves of the dance. You are ready to take your dance to the next level.

303 Intermediate
You are comfortable mixing up 6 count and 8 count moves, and can dance at an ever-widening range of tempos. You social dance all the time. You are studying the technical concepts of musicality, phrasing, connection, improvisation, and styling, and are quickly building your repertoire.

404 Intermediate/Advanced
You have been social dancing regularly for several years, and have been taking classes and out-of-town workshops obsessively. You feel like you know most of the classic lindy hop repertoire, and are capable of a skilled application of all the concepts mentioned above.

505 Advanced
You've stopped counting how many years you've been dancing, and you can't remember what it was like to feel lost in a class. You learn rapidly and are in the process of creating a unique personal style. You would be eager to audition in public to guarantee your place in this level.
