Michael Quisao grew up in Dallas, TX and is currently based in Memphis, TN. He takes every opportunity he possibly can to travel, take classes, and compete at swing dance events around the country. He took his first Lindy Hop lesson in the summer of 2006 at a swing dance club in Pensacola, FL and has been addicted ever since. Michael loves to dance, and it’s his goal to share his love for swing dance with everybody he meets. His teaching focuses on communication, connection, and musicality; he believes that practicing good technique opens the doors to creative and exciting dances. Michael placed 1st in the Open Strictly Lindy at SwingIN 2011 (with Annabel Truesdell), 3rd in the Strictly Blues at Jubilee Jazz Dance Revival 2011 (with Annabel Truesdell), was a finalist in the Open Jack & Jill at the International Lindy Hop Championships 2011, and was a finalist in the Solo Blues Riffin’ at bamBLOOZled 2011.
